      Deutschlandticket price changes

Provider's decision published at last check

The regular Deutschlandticket price rises to 66.80 euros a month; job and semester tickets have different prices and conditions. Without required consent, DB ends the subscription on December 31, 2026.

Scope: Germany; regular Deutschlandticket price, with a separate consent deadline only for DB subscriptions that require it.

      Action deadline:

For DB purchases before October 15, 2026, the contract holder should respond by November 30, 2026. Purchases on or after that date need no separate consent. Without consent, DB schedules cancellation on December 31, 2026. The contract holder can select Reactivate subscription in DB Navigator or Aboportal until that scheduled end. Other sellers' rules differ.

Next step: Check your seller's renewal notice and, if your DB subscription requires consent, open DB Navigator or Aboportal directly to respond as the contract holder.

Domestic business issuers above the turnover threshold

      E-invoice issuing rules expand

      Confirmed at last check

For covered supplies between domestic businesses, issuers whose 2026 net domestic turnover under the VAT rules exceeded 800,000 euros must issue an e-invoice, unless an exception applies. The EDI transition can continue through December 31, 2027 with the recipient's agreement. Kleinunternehmer remain exempt from issuing e-invoices, and consumer invoices are outside this rule. The duty to receive e-invoices already applies.

Scope: Covered supplies between domestic businesses, with statutory exceptions.

Next step: Check the 2026 turnover test, applicable exceptions and your invoicing setup with the tax office or your adviser.
